The Newcastle University Athletic Union and its member clubs are Team Newcastle, the name for all Newcastle University athletes. Team Newcastle promotes the AU as a collective entity and adds a little extra spice when we take on Team Northumbria in the Stan Calvert Cup on March 30th. Team Newcastle sportsmen and women represent the University against institutions all over the country in BUCS competitions on a weekly basis, and are currently rated 11th in the country for sport after the 09/10 season.

Thanks to the full support of the University Team Newcastle became a reality in the 09-10 season. Sports teams throughout the AU are directed now to incorporate the new logo into all their kit orders, and Team Newcastle wear will soon be available to purchase in the Union, so watch this space, and make sure you get your hands on a set of Team Newcastle stash!
