Activities Support Volunteer

Go Global, Give it a Go, and Go Play

Spots with Give it a Go and Go Play are now filled up. Only Go Global is still looking for volunteers

-Go Global is a project aimed at promoting and celebrating internationalisation and diversity on campus through activities and events

-Give it a Go is the Union’s activity provision, running events and activities every week during term time for all students to get involved in.
-Go Play is the alternative sports programme, aimed at creating sport opportunities for all by offering taster sessions and 6 week courses with the focus being on having fun and trying something new.

~~You would be responsible for running activities in part with Activities staff, on Wednesday afternoons, weekends and evenings~~

Tasks will vary depending on your area of interest, but in the past people have been involved in the following;
Go Global
• Marketing and promotion of the event
• Logistical details including venue sourcing, prop buying, liaising with any external suppliers
• Attending events and assisting staff members with work needed to be completed

Give it a Go:
• Attending Give it a Go events as assigned at the start of the academic term
• Liaising with external providers and other students to ensure successful running of programme
• Capturing information on students taking part and photographing activities
• Some marketing duties for Give it a Go as required

Go Play:
• Potential opportunities to coach/lead (or assistant coach) sport sessions, and gain coaching qualifications in your chosen sports.
• Some marketing duties for Go Play as required
• Capturing information on students taking part and photographing activities
• Enthusiastic about awesome sporting opportunities for all
