Role Overview
To assist Rugby Football League staff and Community Rugby League Coaches in the delivery of Rugby League throughout the North East.
Typical Responsibilities:
• Assist the Community Rugby League Coaches with coaching sessions in Primary and Secondary Schools
• Liaise with CRLC’s with regard to preparation and implementation of coaching sessions
• Assist RFL staff with the preparation and implementation of Rugby League Leader’s Awards
• Assist RFL staff and CRLC’s with Primary Rugby League Festivals
• Assist Community Clubs with Coaching sessions when required
• Ensure all venues, activities and equipment are safe and suitable for the intended purpose
• Adhere to the RFL Child Protection Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy and relevant coaching code of conduct
• Assist RFL staff with the development of clubs, school, college and university Rugby League
• Assist RFL staff to achieve North East objectives and outcomes
• Assist Professional Club with Community initiatives
Knowledge and Experience
• Previous Coaching experience
• Good understanding of the Sports Industry
• Basic knowledge of Rugby Football League
• Understanding of Child Protection Policy’s, Equal Opportunities Policy’s and Coaching Code of Conduct
Skills and Behaviours
• Desirable to hold First Aid Qualification
• Desirable to hold a Driving Licence
• Desirable to hold a CRB
• Excellent Communication Skills
