Faculty Reps provide a crucial link in the academic representation structure. If there is an issue that isn’t being resolved at course level, they will raise it with the University at faculty level as members of either a Faculty Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Committee (FTLSEC) or Graduate School Committee (GSC). Every Staff Student Committee reports its successes and problems to faculty reps at faculty forum meetings, so that they can identify any recurring issues.
Without Faculty Reps, the Education Officer would have an impossible task to try to find out what issues have been raised at every Staff Student Committee in the University – so they are also vital in ensuring that your voice is heard at the highest level of the University.
