Throughout the week we will have a variety of activities that you will be able to take part in. Sign-up in advance with your flatmates for a great day out, or come along alone, an ideal time to make some new firends in a more relaxed atmosphere. Activities include paintballing, ice-skating, cocktail training and beach trips and many more on offer.
All activities are free of charge with a wristband so there is no excuse to not get involved. Whether you're feeling energetic enough to attempt Go Ape's assault course, or just fancy experiencing some of Newcastle's culture you're guaranteed to find something that suits you!
The more activities you sign up for, the more you get for your money and the more people you will meet! More popular activities will require you to sign up in advance, but there will be plenty of activities you can just turn up to on the day, as we know how hectic freshers week can be.

At Go-Ape they take one lush, green forest and a healthy dollop of breathtaking scenery; blend with a smattering of tree-top high wires, tricky crossings (using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire) and wind-in-your-face zip wires; finished off with a liberal dose of people in search of their inner Tarzan.
We kit people out with harnesses, pulleys and karabiners, give them a 30 minute safety briefing and training and let them loose into the forest canopy, free to swing through the trees. Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forests

Declare war over 5 themed arenas containing buildings, tanks, planes army trucks and more. On arrival players will be kitted up with all the equipment needed. This includes mask, overalls, air refills and the all important gun, capable of firing 8 balls per second at a speed of 205 mph over a distance of 150ft. Body armour is available upon request.

Whether you are an experienced ice skater, hockey player or absolute beginner, this is the perfect way to break the ice with your new flatmates and test out your skills in the rink. Free boot hire is included.

Take on the challenge of deep mud, water pools and slippery descents on your 4 stoke quad bikes, you will be accompanied by qualified instructors who will explain the bikes controls and riding techniques and give you practice before you embark on the quad biking course.

Seated low to the floor and harnessed in your buggy you will skid and wheel-spin over an expanse of grass and mud. As you put the pedal to the metal in these awesome machines you must try and stay on the track and catch your competitor. After getting to know the controls and then some practice we will set up races against you and your team mates with proper driver pit changes. Great fun!!
