Introduction to The Crew

There will be over 200 crew members present throughout Freshers' Week and will probably be the first people you see as you move into your halls or set foot on campus. They are divided into crews of about 10, led by a Supervisor and will be instantly recognisable with their brightly coloured T-Shirts and unique fancy dress!

The crews never fail to impress with the effort that they put into both their outfits and the week as a whole. They are there to help you unpack all your belongings and the mountain of clothes and food into your new home as well as taking you to all of the activities and events during the week. The crew know how important making friends is at University, most of them will have only known each other for a few days so are just as excited about meeting new people as you are!

We hope that they will be able to tell you the really useful things you want to know about being a student at Newcastle, along with informing you about what's going on when and where during Freshers' Week. Most of all they will be a group of friendly faces happy to help with any problems or question during what can be quite a daunting week for some people. Most importantly the crew's job is to make sure you guys are having the best time possible.
