Kings' Walk

Go Volunteer is the volunteering arm of NUSU, and we're here to help you find the right volunteering opportunity for you.

From English language teaching, to beekeeping, to children's art classes, all of our projects are designed with students in mind and require little to no previous experience. We also have some great links to over 100 charities and not-for-profit organisations within the local community. Not interested? Start your own project with our grants scheme; we can support and fund your ideas.

We know you're busy. Uni is hard and Throwback is fun, but volunteering is a great addition to your to do list and CV. It doesn't need to take up hours of your time, we can work around  your timetable and help you build your graduate skills, honest.

English Conversation Class

This term students have held a weekly English Conversation Class at the Nunsmoor Centre in Fenham which is a very multi-cultural area of Newcastle. The class is attended by non native English speakers from the surrounding area and has included a number of people originally born in Iraq, Iran and Syria who have recently been granted asylum.
