International/ Immigration

The Student Advice Centre is unable to offer immigration advice to international students.

Sometimes separating out immigration advice from your other difficulties can be complicated as they interlink. We will do what we can to assist you but this may be restricted.

Newcastle University VISA Team can assist you with enquiries and issues regarding the renewal of your VISA. They cannot assist you with unrelated immigration matters.

In the event of this situation, we suggest you contact either the Immigration Advisory Service or the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) for further assistance.

The Home Office is the lead government department for immigration and passports, drugs, policy, crime, counter-terrorism and police.

The UK Border Agency (UKBA) is an agency of the Home Office and its primary business is to protect the UK Borders and control migration into the UK. Use this site for information on VISAs or permission to stay in the UK including the neccessary forms.
