Local Advice Agencies
The Newcastle Citizens Advice Bureau can give you free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects. They can work with you to sort out any debt worries and to claim all of the benefits you may be entitled to. They can help with housing and employment problems, or deal with queries about consumer or tax issues. They can also advise on legal matters, answer questions about immigration, and have lots of experience on family and personal matters too.

Samaritans is a confidential emotional support service for anyone in the UK and Ireland.
The service is available 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.

The Newcastle Law Centre is funded by Newcastle City Council and the Legal Services Commission. They provide free confidential legal advice and representation to people on low incomes, Drop-in sessions take place on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am - 12pm. Shelter has specialist advisers who can provide you with information on your legal rights under housing law. They provide free, confidential and expert advice to support people who are experiencing housing problems.
