FareShare are involved in the relief of poverty and the preservation and promotion of good nutrition, health and well being among people who are suffering from social, economic or emotional distress.

This is done by minimizing food going to waste, supporting people by working in partnership with local organisations to provide access to quality food and other services; diverting fit for purpose food to community members which would previously be placed in a landfill.

Venue is City of Sunderland YMCA Foyer

Volunteers are needed in the following roles:
• Driver (must be 25 yrs of age or above)
• Navigator
• Sorter
• Office Assistant/Fundraiser

As well as gaining specialist training applicable to your specific role, volunteers will gain valuable experience of working as part of a team and working to help vulnerable client groups. In addition volunteers are likely to improve communication and listening skills as well as having the opportunity to develop their ability to plan and organise tasks.

All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
