Royal National Lifeboat Institution

What: The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Our volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards provide a joined up rescue service from the beach to the open sea, with no government funding. It costs over £120 million a year to provide our essential rescue service, which is entirely dependent on voluntary contributions.

Volunteer Roles:

1. General Events Volunteer – helping out at one off fundraising events (eg bungee jump, Great North Run), meet and greet participants, collect money, marshalling.

2. Organise your own fundraising event with support from the RNLI.

3. Events Administration and Marketing – helping to market our fundraising events by distributing posters and flyers, helping to make event goody bags and information packs.
