Current students are not eligible to take part in this project. This would be ideal for recent graduates who have not yet found permanent employment.

The Ouseburn Trust is a registered charity and development trust. The trust, aims to preserve the heritage of the Ouseburn area of Newcastle and to support its sustainable development. It is currently running a Cultural Volunteer project to help people gain valuable opportunities in a range of cultural and creative organizations within the Ouseburn Valley (including Ouseburn Trust, Seven Stories, Mushroom Works, Art Works Galleries, Northern Print and Victoria Tunnel.)

Volunteer roles required:

• Event management
• Customer service
• Admin and IT
• Management and training of volunteers
• Gallery maintenance
• Heritage research, Oral History
• Market research
• Guides and walk leaders
• Horticultural projects

N.B. the project aims to support people who are currently unemployed or on a short term or temporary contract.
