► Scotswood Natural Community Garden - Volunteer Gardeners

What: Scotswood Natural Community Garden is a unique award winning garden, linking natural ecology with human design. The garden offers a fascinating insight into the world of wildlife, nature and food growing.
This two-acre site provides an exceptional opportunity to engage with nature in a variety of habitats. We have wildflower meadows, as sustainable pond system, woodland, orchards and vegetable plots. We host a wide range of workshops including; green woodworking and willow weaving and hold events throughout the year for the local community.
We are looking for volunteers to work in the garden. Tasks will include general maintenance (cutting grass, weeding etc) to things like willow weaving and growing fruit and vegetables..

Skills Acquisition:
- Gain experience in a wide range of gardening tasks
- Meet new people
- Get fit - gardening is more fun than going to the gym!
- Take part in workshops - like making willow baskets/green wood working
