SCAN are really keen to widen the participation of staff in voluntary community activities. The depth and breadth of skills and knowledge amongst staff at Newcastle University is astounding, and it is a resource that has not been properly tapped in the past. The potential for learning between the University and the wider community is huge, but we need your help! If you have any ideas on collaborations or projects that could benefit both the community and your academic school, we would love to hear from you! We have many years of experience of setting up new projects and have developed successful community outreach strategies. We would be more than willing to help you on a new initiative.
