West Pelton Community Brass Band

What: Our organisation teach brass and percussion instruments out of hours in seven schools. Infants, primary and comprehensive. School bands are normally beginners and advanced. We teach Royal School of Music standard and to date we have seven children gaining their grades. All instruments are supplied and tutors free of charge as we are charity based.

Volunteer Roles:

Beginner Brass Tutor (full range of brass Instruments)

The following sessions take place:

Monday – Pelton Primary 3.20 to 4.20
Wednesday – Bulian Lane Primary 12.15 to 1.00
Roseberry Comprehensive 1.00 to 2.15
Rodeberry Primary 3.20 to 4.20
Thursday – Ouston Infants 12.30 t0 1.30
Ouston Juniors 3.30 to 4.30

Skills/experience: Gain experience under supervision teaching music and instruction on playing brass instruments (early beginners), assist in organising a band for a school concert.
