What: We have over 30 years experience of providing autism specific services. Today our services include Thornhill Park School, Thornbeck College, supported and open employment opportunities for adults, year round residential placements for children and adults and an ever increasing range of social and leisure opportunities within the North East Community for people of all ages.
We recognise that everyone is unique and that autism affects each person uniquely. We dedicate our time and resources to help us get to know each person who uses our services. We strive to understand their needs, aspirations and the ways in which he or she is affected by autism

Volunteer Role: Fundraising Event Volunteer -To assist in the management of events and to work with the fundraising team to help raise funds and increase awareness of the society.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities
• To help at one off fundraising events (eg abseils, bungee jumps, Great North Run), meet and greet participants, marshalling, collect money.
• To help market fundraising events by distributing poster and flyers.
• To help with event administration tasks e.g. information packs.
• Contacting event participants.
