Don't Panic; Don't Rush in!

 

We run a week of housing information and a housing roadshow every year! Living in rented property is a huge part of student life and if you get things wrong it can be really upsetting and disrupting in your life. The urge students not to rush into signing contracts and to make sure you have all the right information first so you can make an informed decision about where you want to live.

 

Our Student Advice Centre has a specialist housing advisor roof who can look over contracts before you sign them if they are given 48 hours notice.

 

This Year.....

 

This year the housing roadshow was held on Wednesday 7th November 10-6pm in the Venue in the Students' Union. There was stalls with information about what to look for when viewing a house, legal things you need to know about contacts and even how to keep you home safe!

 

That whole week from the 5th- 9th we were around campus giving out the Don't Panic; Don't Rush in information booklets. We also travelled to Halls of residence's to deliver presentations aimed at students who have never been tennants before.
