“I’m happiest when I’m right next to you”
Somewhere, someone pedals frantically. Somewhere else, people are falling in love. All of them trying to escape…
This new play, a co-production between Newcastle University Theatre Society and Moaning Toad Productions, explores the fragile boundary between love and terror.
Focusing on three blossoming relationships as they stumble into each other’s lives, attentions turn to Meg and Lucy who take refuge in one another, Damon and Lydia who start to believe again, and Amy and Noah whose chequered past resurfaces. Desperately searching for something to cling onto, the couples come to terms with the helpless spontaneity of falling in love. Meanwhile, in a darkened room, the threat of violence looms and the need to escape has never been greater.
Written and Directed by Luke Bateman, Jack Hilton, and Chris Whyte.
Produced by Newcastle University Theatre Society and Moaning Toad Productions.
For Northern Stage 3.
This event will be capped at 100 people.
