Learn to Skate - Ice Hockey
Meet outside NUSU Front Entrance
Give it a Go Ice hockey is a great way to introduce yourself into the fastest paced sport on campus. During the 6 weeks you will be coached on the fundamentals of ice skating by members of our 3 competitive teams, many of the guys coaching you started off doing these sessions a couple of years ago. Alongside learning a new skill it is a great way to meet members of the club and get involved with all the other social aspects of being a Wildcat.
Also thanks to Give it a Go you don't have to be a club member to take part, meaning that you can try it out and see what being a part of the club is like before committing to membership! Over the 6 weeks you will learn how to: Skate forwards, skate backwards, stop, crossovers and tight turns. These skills will help you improve quickly when we move on to involving sticks and pucks after the Give it a Go sessions come to an end.
Please don't be shy to come along, we're a really friendly club and 95% of our members start out as complete beginners!
If tickets do sell out please still wait outside the students union and some of our cub members will take you there on the metro instead.
Please meet outside NUSU (Opposite Northern Stage) at 11.45am.
