Meet at Manors metro station

Often called the best kept secret area of Newcastle, Ouseburn is filled with independent pubs, bars and cultural venues. Whether you’re not one for a club night, want to explore a new area of the city or simply taste some of the unique drinks on offer with some good company, this pub crawl social is perfect for you.

Planned route:

  • Manors Metro - 7.30pm
  • Cluny
  • Free Trade Inn
  • Tyne Bar

You can come to the whole event, the first few or join us at the end – just contact welcome.union1@newcastle.ac.uk if you need help finding the group. Food will be available in the Ship Inn and Cluny for anyone who wants to eat along the way. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are served in all the pubs and bars.

Meeting Place: We are meeting outside the Manors metro station. This can be accessed on any metro service that changes at Monument. At Monument follow signs for the platform destination of St James. Alternatively, it’s a 15-minute walk from main campus!

Accessibility Information: Ouseburn is located down and across hills, so it may be less convenient for those with mobility issues. Ship Inn has a few steps required to enter the pub, with gendered toilets available on the same level. The Cluny has step-free access to the bar, with toilets up a few steps inside. Brinkburn is accessed via a stairway down to the basement level, with toilets on this same level, with no lift available. Free Trade Inn has a step to access the bar area, and a few steps down to access toilets. Tyne Bar can be accessed from Free Trade Inn via steps or a ramp, with a step into the bar area and a staircase to toilets.
