Remake Documentary Screening with Feminist Society
Join us for the third event of our 'Climate Change is a Feminist Issue' campaign! We will be watching three of Remake’s ‘Made In’ documentary series focussing on the working conditions of garment workers globally and the impact the fashion industry has on the environment. We will have a brief introduction to each documentary by Jemima, our Vice President and resident Remake Ambassador, and a group discussion after the viewings.
Content warnings: worker exploitation, colonialist violence, modern slavery, industrial disaster, poverty, child labour sexual assault and rape (will provide timings to skip at the beginning of the event)
Please access the link to the zoom call 15 minutes before the event begins to allow time for technical issues or uncertainty using the system.
There will be a link on our Facebook group. Please download the zoom app on your phone or computer. The link will redirect you to a screen where it either asks you to log in through your personal account or add the name you want to show up on the screen. You will then be allowed into the zoom call by the event leader. For further info, the university has made a guide on how to use Zoom:https://videoconferencing.ncl.ac.uk/zoom/
Please use headphones where possible, as this will make communication easier between all members and help those with hearing difficulties.
If there are any other accessibility concerns we have not covered, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to support you in your participation.
