Food waste feeds climate change – 30% of global greenhouse gases come from producing our food, and we can’t afford to waste it. The good news is that everyone can make a difference, as 70% of the UK’s wasted food comes from our homes and the power to change this is in our hands. It’s time to act now and learn some new habits!
Join the Sustainability Team on their social media accounts for the Zero-Waste Plant-Based Challenge, which is a collaboration between the Sustainability Team and Melda Kelemcisoy, the Student Environment and Sustainability Rep for the Business School. The week will be full of information and tips on how to minimise your food waste, as well as ways to incorporate more plant-based foods into your diet.
