(Students and Staff welcome)
Ran by: Sian Dickie, Education Officer, Charlotte Boulton, Postgraduate Officer, Hannah Finney, Activities Officer.
When: Tuesday 2nd March, 12:00-13:00pm
Educational inequalities maintain and sustain the idea of the ‘traditional student’. With more Universities than ever targeting students from a widening participation background, what happens to those students once they arrive? What is the true experience of the ‘non-traditional’ University student? This session will discuss the hidden costs of higher education, the concept of the ‘good student’ and the future of widening participation of students at our University.
In conversation with your Sabbatical Officers, this discussion will allow you to hear their experiences, and talk about your own. This session will begin with a short talk and will be followed by a Q&A.
