Join the fantastic Lundgren Tours for a fun boat tour, taking in the sights from the sea, and spotting wildlife along the way!

Join us as we venture out on Golden Gate Boat Trips to the Farne Islands. We’ll be passing Inner Farne, where you’ll have amazing views of Bamburgh Castle sitting on top of 45m of volcanic rock. You will also discover the tiny chapel where the famous St Cuthbert died as a hermit on the island due to his fondness of the ‘cuddy duck’ and its isolated location. Most importantly you’ll see the return of the TOMMY NODDIES (how puffins are known locally). This amazing seabird can be seen in massive numbers between May and July on the Farne Islands and really are a sight to see – especially if you’ve never seen a puffin before. We will also be travelling around the other Farne Islands all the way up to Longstone Island, which is home to a great grey seal colony and the history of an international famous heroin – Grace Darling. We’ll be landing on Longstone Island so you can get up close and personal with the seals and climb the lighthouse to find out more about Grace Darling and enjoy the beautiful views of the coastline. We will be finishing the day with a walk along the cliffs to Dunstanburgh Castle and on to the very sandy beach of Embleton Bay to relax and participate in beach games.
