A Nervous Breakdown - January Book Discussion!

The Social Cafe Bar

"I did have hallucinations, but did they harm anyone? Who did they harm, that's what I'd like to know!'

For our January book discussion our members have chosen Anton Chekhov's "A Nervous Breakdown", a collection of three disturbing tales of supernatural hallucinations, hysterical obsession and moral decay.

We know Christmas and exam time can be busy so it's only a tidy 122 pages long, but as it is from one of the greatest short-story writers of all time - we think it's gonna be a good one!

In true Christmas spirit we are giving away TEN free copies of "A Nervous Breakdown" to the first 10 sign ups!

This discussion will be held at the newly opened The Social Cafe Bar, 27 Ridley Place, NE1 8JN, 23rd Januray 2020, 6-8pm.

This event is free and open to all Literature Society members. Please note that you must be a member to attend.
