Discover the World of Bumblebees and Honeybees

Elsdon Village Hall, Elsdon, Northumberland, NE19 1AB

Redesdale Beekeepers will give a talk about honeybees, show some of the equipment used for beekeeping and explain the life of honeybees. There will be the opportunity to see pollen and bee-structures under a microscope. Learn about bumblebee biology and how to identify common garden species.

In the afternoon put your new knowledge into practice with a local walk to find and identify bumblebees and discuss the suitability of different habitats for bees.

Please bring a packed lunch, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Booking is essential.

This event is suitable for ages 14+. All persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
