Meeting at the Students Union 1pm we will travel together to arrive 1.30pm at Greening Wingrove Primary School where we will meet Ruth Hayward of the Wild West End project. With a couple of short tasks we will help improve wildlife habitats in the school grounds, perhaps with the children. Install a couple of hedgehog boxes and sow wildflower seed collected locally. This will be followed by a guided walk of the other wildflife projects beginning in the local urban/suburban/park environment, including bat habitats, housemartin and swift nesting areas, a small orchard and a meadow area of the town moor. We welcome all students!
If you would like to attend contact Mike on firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your place, and wear suitable clothing and footwear for being outdoors in November.
