Grow Volunteer - Session 1
Grumpy Jon (the NUSU horticultural expert!) is back and there is lots to do over the coming weeks to get the garden flourishing again.
The garden at Joseph Cowen needs a good clear out as there has been nothing done this year, so if you would like to get your hands dirty preparing the planters for this season now is your chance.
We will be weeding the beds and refreshing the compost in them. We also have cabbage, broccoli and mizuna seedlings to move into bigger trays and yellow courgette plants to plant out.
We also need to get the greenhouse ready for planting tomatoes in a few weeks time and there are seeds to be sown as well, so lots to be doing!
Numbers are limited in line with government guidance, so you do have to sign up.
To sign up please email Jon on firstname.lastname@example.org with the following info:
- 9 digit student ID number
- University email address
- Phone number
If you have any Covid-19 symptoms please do not sign up, on the day you will be required to socially distance and follow government guidance.
