Sewing Wiggly Bags

Zoom (joining instructions will be sent)

Feeling crafty? Would you like to help us make Wiggly Bags?

Wiggly Bags are small hand stitched fabric bags used by children with Hickman lines. What’s a Hickman line I hear you ask? A Hickman line is a central venus catheter often used for administration of chemotherapy or other medication as well as the withdrawal of blood from analysis. Some types are used mainly for the purpose of apheresis or dialysis.

Wiggly bag making kits will be available to collect from outside the Students’ Union the day before this activity, details will be provided after you have signed up.

Your pack will contain everything you need to make a wiggly bag and instructions. Once you have completed your wiggly bag please return it to the same place you collected your pack along with the unused materials wrapped in the same bag.

To sign up please email govolunteer.union@ncl.ac.uk the name, date and time of session you want to sign up to.

Please include your name, student ID and email address.

Meeting ID and joining instructions will be sent out prior to the session.
