Health & Safety
Our primary concern with any activity is to ensure its safe, so that all students can enjoy and have the best possible experience. In order for us to ensure we reduce the inherent risks involved with activities ask everyone to read and understand the NUSU Activities Health & Safety Document. Our risk assessments play a fundamental role in ensuring that we take into consideration all the needs of our participants, therefore please let us know of any disabilities or presenting issues ahead of the activity. Profile pages should be up to date in accordance with our T&C’s.
In order to provide wide-reaching experience for students we do use 3rd party and community partners, therefore it’s advisable for all students to read the companies policies and procedures for participation by contacting us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
Refunds & Exchanges
We can give refunds and exchanges for Give it a Go activities where we have been notified 2 weeks or more in advance to the event date. All GIAG activities that include overnight accommodation are non-refundable unless in the event of cancellation.
Interested in running a GIAG event for your club or society?
Give it a Go is a great way for your club or society to gain new members. We are one of the biggest departments in the Students’ Union, and it is a fantastic way to advertise your club or society to new and existing students.
Submissions are now open for our Term 1&2 Give it a Go programme. You can run as little or as many Give it a Go sessions as you would like.
In order to book in your Give it a Go session you will need to complete this form. If you would like to run several different sessions you will have to submit one form for each session – you don’t need to do this if it’s the same activity but over different dates, just pop the various dates on the form.
All Give it a Go activities are run at a basic introductory level and should be suitable for beginners. Please remember that you should run workshops which link to your activities. For example, society led Give it a Go sessions should relate to your society activity. You should run an event in what you are experts in.
