Rebecca Walker
Activities Officer

Hi, I’m Becca, I’ll be your Activities Officer for 2016/17!! It’s my job to look after everything societies related!! We have over 170 societies here at Newcastle, 30 of which were new last year alone. There is such a huge range of activities on offer from A Cappella and Quidditch to Dance and Baking and if that’s not enough and you feel like something is missing, set up your own!

From Debating to DJ'ing, Erasmus or Baking, Newcastle University Students' Union has a wide range of societies, who are always looking for new members to join them. What's a society? It's where a group of like minded students, with a common interest, get together, hold meetings, host events, and fill there spare time, meeting new friends. For a full A-Z list of societies, simply click the button below, and get signed up!

Got your own idea for a society? Great! We're always keen to see, and help, students set up their own societies, and make a great success of it. In recent times, we've seen the creation of the A Cappella society who are doubling their numbers each year, and we'd love to see a wider variety of hobbies and interests bringing students together. Not to mention, it looks great on the CV! For a full list of documents on creating and running your society, click the button below, and get in touch if you need any help!

Finally, we've started opening up the Union's communications to help your society advertise itself. So if you want your poster on the digital screens, or on our Facebook and Twitter pages, just head on over to our 'Promote' page, and we'll put you in touch with over 22,000 students.
