We are a group of students from all degree programmes, who go on regular visits to primary schools as well as visits to rainbows/cubs to teach children about healthy lifestyles and hygeine. We work with children usually aged 4-7 and set up lots of fun games and activities as different stations.
We also organise a ‘funday’ in which we set up all our activities and more for any families that would like to come- in the past we’ve had over 200 children attend! Last year we raised over £120 for the Great North Children\'s Hospital at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
Anyone with an interest in teaching or working with children are encouraged to get involved. We also organise collaborations with other societies as well as socials.
We usually have school visits on a Wednesday afternoon (1-3pm)
Rainbows / cubs visits are variable but usually on a weekday evening
Our Funday is held in the February half term

We are an official NUSU: Into Schools group, working closely with disadvantaged pupils in the local community to inspire and raise aspirations. If you’d like to learn more about volunteering with Teddy Bear Hospital as part of NUSU: Into Schools, please see our outreach page here.
