Exciting ideas and new opportunities await at the TEDx Society at Newcastle University! We do far more than organise and host the TEDxNewcastleUniversity event every year. We also provide a range of opportunities week in, week out, for our amazing members who come from all over the world...

Countless Opportunities at the TEDx Society:

This year, we're organising networking events with a myriad of businesspeople, thinkers and entrepreneurs in the North East area; a great way to built connections and learn.

As always, joining our society will provide amazing opportunities to boost your CV. Our members can volunteer at the conference, take up positions of responsibility and get creative with art and design! Members can also be the first to hear about TEDx-related opportunities in the local area.

Finally, a membership with the society offers a discount to a boat-load of TEDx things, including  tickets to TEDXNewcastleUniversity, merchandise sold at the conference and tickets to the huge TEDxNewcastle annual conference. Our conference is our greatest achievement every year, with hours of planning and effort culminating into a festival of ideas that attracts hundreds from around the country! Take a look at a talk from 2019 below.

We provide our members amazing events regularly: TED circles, Open Discussions and monthly socials! Because of the impact of the pandemic, all events are currently held online. Here is our provisional timetable:
Alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays: 18:00 to 19.00 (GMT)
