Brief Desciption of Society Activities
Newcastle University Radiology Society was established in 2012 by a collection of interested students. Based in the Newcastle University Medical School and the Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary, our aim is to assist learning and foster connections within the imaging world- Radiology.
We hope to promote interest in an exciting and rapidly developing subject with a wide range of opportunities. We offer teaching sessions led by consultants as well as by students and a number of speaker events throughout the academic year. The teaching sessions will involve learning how to diagnose diseases based on a variety of imaging techniques, understanding radiological findings, and learning how and when to ask for imaging when you are working in healthcare.
Meeting Days, Times and Venue
Starting September we have arranged to attend radiology teaching sessions for medical students and junior doctors in the RVI. We will post the events on our facebook page!
