Brief Description of Society Activities
Newcastle University Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Society aims to provide an opportunity for students to engage with the specialty and hone their interest through a wide variety of events which include lectures, talk series and practical workshops.
The society aims to cater to students of all stages and skill levels, who would like to learn about this vast and competitive specialty, through our educational endeavors. These range from introductory talks about the various aspects of Plastic Surgery to learning first-hand and developing different surgical skills through our workshops. We also aim to promote networking through our events, encouraging students to connect with trainees and consultants to receive their guidance and mentorship for a career in Plastics, along with opportunities for research and audit projects.
In this inaugural year we shall also work to form close ties with national Plastic Surgery organisations and build a large and enthusiastic student body sharing a common interest.
Meeting Days, Times and Venues
