Brief Description of Society Activities
Newcastle University Islamic Society exists to represent Muslim students, serve their interests and maintain the facilities which cater to their needs on campus. We organise regular lectures, outreach events, Islamic classes and social and sports activities. We also hold outreach events to engage in the wider community.

Take part in Charity Week (a week of awesome activities to raise money for charity) and Discover Islam Week (our biggest event showcasing the beauty of Islam on campus)
And so much more, including the ISOC Library, theme park trip (at big names like Flamingo Land & Light Water Valley), annual Qur’an Challenge, Ramadan Taraweeh & Iftar, and Islam & Black History month.
Meeting Days, Times and Venues
We meet every day at the Muslim prayer space for the 5 daily prayers, and meet every Friday for Jumu'a. We also have a weekly Qur’an circle every Friday after Maghrib/'Isha with free dinner afterwards.
Our hub is the Muslim Prayer Space – in King George VI Building, King’s Road, Newcastle University.
