Brief Description of Society Activities
NSACC aims to promote interests in Anaesthetics and Critical Care in a variety of ways. We provide a multitude of opportunities for members to engage with experts in the specialities and attend informational teaching events from lecture-based speaker events to practical simulations. We hope to provide members of the Society with advice and information regarding careers in Anaesthetics and Critical Care Medicine and offer opportunities to meet and network with trainees and consultants within these specialties.
We run events focussing on teaching key skills used in anaesthetics including airway management, cannulation, and central line insertion. We also promote and organise conference events on both a regional and national scale to our members to supplement exposure to experience in critical care and anaesthetics teaching.
We host socials within our society to allow members to meet and socialise with other students with interests in anaesthetics and critical care.
Events running throughout the academic year will be advertised in advance through our mailing list and Facebook page. We aim to provide a minimum of two academic events and one social event per term.
