Our Society We are a group of students who are interested in bees and other pollinating insects! We have five hives at INTO Benicia Halls of Residence, and two hives at Cochrane Park - the university's plant nursery - and we have plans to get hives on the roof of the Urban Sciences Building on the newly opened Helix Campus.
We welcome students with any level of experience of beekeeping - from absolute beginners to master beekeepers! Some of our activities during the colder months (when inspections aren't possible) are beeswax wrap making and candlemaking! We also host regular talks from experts on pollinators to help educate our members about the importance of insects.
