On Campus Sport


Our Sports Centre gym is a great place to keep fit and healthy with state-of-the-art exercise equipment to satisfy the need of any level of user. Discounted gym membership and one-to-one personal trainer sessions may be available to some students.

Give it a Go is our activity based programme allowing you the opportunity to be physically active without the need for any membership or previous experience.



Campus Sport is a large recreation programme allowing you the opportunity to play in a fun environment with an element of competition. Leagues are structured to cater for all abilities and you can represent your course, society or halls of residence in a wide range of sports. We have over 65 clubs representing Team Newcastle who make up our Athletic Union. Look at for those clubs awarded with Earn Your Stripes accreditation as these have been recognised for their inclusivity work.

Support Services

Inclusive Newcastle provided a support system you can use to enhance your access to sports and physical activities. If you need any extra support or if there are any barriers preventing you becoming active we want to help you overcome these, be this physical, education, social or mental health issues.

Off Campus Sport

We have a range of opportunities off campus catering for all abilities including our Inclusive Fencing session every Tuesday with NCL Blades. We also have a range of community partners providing further para sport opportunities such as Powerchair Football, Wheelchair Basketball, Boccia, Sitting Volleyball and much more.

Performance Scholarship

Inclusive Newcastle Sport Scholarship – awarded on an annual basis and available to UG and PG applicants, as well as current students. All applicants will be required to demonstrate previous and current sporting achievements and have a commitment to continue improving in their sport.

Disability Awareness Week

Taking place 5th – 9th February 2018. Come down to the Students’ Union on 7th February between 12pm & 2pm to try out Boccia and Goalball, or why not try your hand at Fencing at our inclusive fencing session on Tuesday 6th February 7pm – 9pm with NCL Blades. To book your place email
