Brief Description of Club Activities
NUBC is one of the leading University Boat Clubs in the country. In the past few years we have won BUCS Regatta multiple times, as well as Henley Women’s and Henley Royal Regatta and have sent many of our athletes to represent GB at international level.
We are also known for our superb novice programme, in which we turn complete beginners into BUCS winners by the end of the year.
Not only do we train hard, we play hard. With socials every Wednesday, and three formal dinners throughout the year.
Meeting Days, Times and Venues
7-14 sessions a week, with land sessions taken at Newcastle University Sports Centre or Henderson Hall, and water sessions at our Boathouse in Newburn which is a 20 minute drive from campus.
4 sessions a week at the beginning. Training will start at Newcastle University Sports Centre or Henderson Hall and after a few weeks water sessions will start at the Boathouse in Newburn. After the first few weeks you will be introduced into the senior programme.
