We are a friendly, welcoming club who have lots to offer, for the most dedicated paddlers through to our to more social members!
Most of our new members have never paddled before yet have the opportunity to paddle on some of the UK’s best white-water rivers, train and even win medals in BUCS competitions, racing in boats they had probably never heard of.
Join us for a busy year of recreational trips, heading to rivers across the UK on daytrips, weekends and a longer period over Easter.
We have lots of regular activities on over the week, which are all totally optional and include pool sessions, morning and evening training at our boathouse on the Tyne, training sessions on local rivers and the barrage (an international white-water course in Middlesbrough) and socials every Wednesday.
The Clubs social scene is a huge draw for many of our members, where we have loads of fun all year round with the usual sports club night out antics, alongside a range of other drinking and non-drinking socials.
.Training takes place at various locations on Wednesday afternoons and most weekends.
We offer training sessions on Tuesday and Friday mornings, and evening sessions on a Monday night. These take place at Newburn water sports centre and are open to all.
We have skills and Canoe Polo sessions at Heworth leisure centre on Tuesday nights from 7:00pm-9:00pm
