Brief Description of Club Activities

Clay Target, or Clay Pigeon, Shooting is a sport of using shotguns to hit flying discs in the air.

The Club welcomes all students, both novice and experienced shots.  The Club has a friendly close-knit atmosphere, holding regular socials and gatherings thoughout the year.  The Club competes to a high standard in national events, taking place locally, and also in Scotland, Shropshire and the South.

 

Meeting Days, Times and Venues

Meet Wednesdays, 1.30 p.m. Steve Smiths Shooting Ground , Horton Grange Road, Dinnington, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE13 7AB

 

Pre-Requisites for new members (e.g. previous experience, basic certificates, etc)

No previous experience or certificate holding necessary.  All equipment is provided: we supply eye and ear protection, shotguns and cartridges.   The Club offers free, secure storage for any shotguns which members own and wish to bring.
