The club welcomes all students - both novices and experienced shots. We pride ourselves on our friendly, close-knit atmosphere, and whist competing to a high standard, we tend not to take ourselves too seriously.
We have professional coaches on hand to supervise and teach novices. There is no personal requirement for equipment as all guns are provided by the club. However, we do offer free and secure gun storage at our local shooting ground.
The club competes to a high standard in national events throughout the academic year – including BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport). We also compete in other competitions throughout Scotland & England, as well as hosting our own. Competitions are usually followed by black-tie balls.
These will be decided closer to the time, but are usually the first two Wednesday's in October.
More details to follow closer to the time!
We meet every Wednesday at 1.30pm, where we provide free transport to Bywell shooting ground.
No previous experience or certificate holding necessary. All equipment is provided, we supply eye and ear protection, shotguns and cartridges. Although the club offers free, secure storage for any members with their own guns.
