 Activities Assistants 2021-22

Flexible vacancies for the academic year starting 1st September 2021

We are committed to enabling our students to fully participate in non-academic sport and physical activity in a safe and positive way through our Give It a Go Programme. The Activities Assistants support the delivery of the programme by attracting students through promotion and marketing, developing the portfolio and facilitating or delivering activities.

Activities Assistants help the Activities Development Co-ordinator to deliver the Give It a Go programme.  Duties include delivering/ facilitating activities, promotion and marketing, engaging and recruiting students, and some administrative duties.

Activities Assistants are excellent communicators, have strong organisation skills and sound knowledge of university sport and public health. Activities Assistants need to be flexible as they are required to attend activities each week during the academic year, the hours will be split over a number of days in shifts. 

The Activities Assistants possess excellent interpersonal, organisation, and communication skills, be very friendly and approachable, and actively seek engagement with other students.

Pay and reward:   Hourly rate will be the equivalent of Real Living Wage and the successful candidates will have the opportunity to join in with activities and trips. A t-shirt and hoody will be provided as a uniform.
