2021 – 2022 Sport Assistants x 4

Part time, up to 10 hours per week, for the academic year 2021-22. The roles require flexible working including evening and weekend work from week commencing 6th September 2021.

We are committed to enabling our students to fully participate in non-academic sport and physical activity in a safe and positive way through our Students’ Union’s Campus Sport and Give It a Go Programme. The Sports Assistant supports delivery of the programme by attracting students through promotion and marketing, developing the portfolio and facilitating or delivering activities.

The holders of these roles will be required to attend a variety of sessions (both in person and virtually) and promotion each week within the programme, and as such, the hours will be split over 2-4 days in short shifts. Candidates will need to be flexible with the hours they can work. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, organisation, and communication skills, be very friendly and approachable, and actively seek engagement with students. This post would ideally be suited for Newcastle University students.

Pay and Reward

Hourly rate will be the equivalent of Real Living Wage
