NUSU Promotions Team

Flexible and ongoing variable hours to start from 1 September 2022

We are looking for a number of  vibrant, energetic, and approachable students to help us establish a NUSU Pop-up Promotions Team.  The team will work together to spread the word about all of the great activities and services NUSU offers and encourage more Newcastle University students to benefit from what we do.

The Pop-Up Promotion Team will promote NUSU on campus and in ResLife Halls of Residence. You will host promotion stands, hand out leaflets and talk to students about clubs and societies, volunteering opportunities, our events, gigs and so much more.

You will also host NUSU building tours as part of the University Open Days and introduce prospective students to NUSU.

You will need excellent communication skills, be happy to approach students and have a basic knowledge of NUSU. Duties will also include moving promotional materials, setting up and taking down promotion stands and occasional administration duties. The team will be supported by the Communications Campaign’s Co-Ordinator and Social Media Assistants and full training for the role will be provided.

Promotions will mainly take place during Term 1 and 2, with a focus on and around Freshers. You will generally be working in groups of 2-4 and shifts are flexible.

We have multiple opportunities available so spread the word.

Pay and Reward:

Hourly rate will be the equivalent of Real Living Wage. A Hoodie will be provided as uniform.
