On the 27th of October 2021, RAG x Rounders took over the Dr's Lair at Jesmond's Holy Hobo, to put on a fantastic pub quiz in aid of SARC North East!

It was an absolutely fantastic turnout with all the ghosts and ghouls making their way down in some amazingly creative fancy dress costumes. We had vampires, ghosts and devils galore!

On the night, we has a brilliant quiz hosted by Aiden and Kieran, some spooktacular mini-games and a round of card bingo!

Well done to the winning teams who scored themselves a first-place prize of a £200 sharing cocktail and a second-place prize of a £50 bar tab. Big thanks to the Holy Hobo for their kind donation of these on the night, we really appreciate the generosity.

TW: Sexual Assault and Rape (and related Trauma)

This fun-packed night was in aid of The Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) Support Service for the North East of England. They provide a sensitive and dedicated service to anyone who has experienced rape, sexual assault or other sexual abuse. SARCs are located in Teesside, County Durham and Northumberland/ Tyne and Wear providing support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The North East SARC Support Service offers choices, with specially trained staff who can explain and discuss all the options.

Services include:

  • Confidential advice
  • Anonymous report to police or advocacy on your behalf with direct report to police
  • Specialist medical examinations
  • Specialist forensic examination, including non-intimate samples
  • Storage of forensic samples, giving you time to decide on reporting to police
  • Support through the Police interview
  • Risk and need assessment to make sure you are safe
  • Referrals to external agencies with the appropriate consent for specialist counselling and therapeutic support
  • Ongoing support from an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)

SARC will support you regardless of whether or not you want to report to the Police and are committed to ensuring that you receive the support you need, whatever you decide to do.

We managed to raise a fantastic £185.19 for this amazing cause.

We want to thank each and every person who attended/donated to the cause. Your donations will directly help victims and survivors across the North East access the services they need.

We hope you all had a fantastic night and keep your eyes peeled on our socials for the next event!
