NUSU named official finalist in ‘Students’ Union of the Year’ awards

We’re delighted to announce that Newcastle University Students’ Union has been shortlisted for a major national award in education, as the hard work of staff and students comes to fruition.

The Educate North Awards is an annual celebration of excellence in education across the North of England.

NUSU will now go head-to-head with four other major institutions for the title of ‘Students’ Union of the Year’.

The next step is a glitzy ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, Deansgate on April 24 2018, when the winners are revealed.

It’s shaping up to be a big year for the Students’ Union, with our very own microbrewery, Stu Brew, recently scooping a top international prize for enterprise and sustainability in Philadelphia, USA.

Add to that the upcoming announcement of the new Officer Team on Friday 9 March, as well as the Big Academic Wins happening across campus, as students’ financial and academic needs are pushed to the top of the agenda, and there’s a lot to get excited about.

Wish us luck and keep checking in on NUSU Facebook and Twitter for more information when the winners are announced on April 24 2018.
