Society Of the Month - May

ShockSoc robot wars Society of the Month

Whilst most students were away for Easter for the majority of April, this month’s winners were busy making almost two years of planning a reality. Congratulations to ShockSoc (Newcastle Electrical Engineering Society) for their event, Robot Wars.

Described as ‘a labour of love between the Shock Soc Committee and the electrical engineering department’, the night was a great success and will most certainly be making a return next academic year! Teamed up with Stew Brew and the SU, a night of robots, drinks, pizza, entertainment and more was offered.  Over 60 people attended, including staff, students and even the general public.  All in all, a great event.
