Society of the Month - December!

Society of the Month

Term one has been super busy for all the societies here at Newcastle from competitions and performances to day trips and weekends away. October saw the Comedy Society take the title as Society of the Month and Musical Medics went on to win in November.

The winner for December is the Libyan Society for their big event that they hosted just a few days before Christmas day that succeeded in bringing together both its members and the wider Libyan Community with over 380 people attending throughout the day. The event which lasted for eight hours on 22nd December featured an impressive exhibition of cities in Libya and provided a host of different entertainment including football and table tennis. The event attracted a lot of positive attention; it was live on many official Facebook pages and most excitingly made it onto one of the main Libyan TV channels.

It doesn’t stop there, the Society have been busy providing many other opportunities for members too including free CPDUK Training Courses in ‘Effective tools and strategies for Time and Task Management’ for not only Libyan members but also members of the Saudi Society. A great month all round.

If you think your society deserves the title of Society of the Month for January please fill out the nomination form by Monday 30th January.
