Got a question?

Our University Vice Chancellor Chris Day will be attending the first part of our February Student Council meeting.

This is an opportunity for you to ask him, your Welfare & Equality Officer and I (President) questions relating to harassment, sexual misconduct and hate crime in higher education and give your views and share experiences of this area. As something we are taking very seriously, it’ll be great to hear the student perspective and discuss the developments at Newcastle and across the higher education sector.

We expect this to be a busy session, so questions must be submitted using the link below before 12noon on Monday 10th Feb in order for them to be covered in Council.

February Student Council & AGM
The NUSU Annual General Meeting will take place on the 13th of February at 5.15 pm in the History Room of the Students’ Union Building and will be followed immediately by the February Student Council meeting.

As you will be aware all students automatically become members of their students’ union when starting university (unless you opt-out) and therefore you are welcome to attend the AGM.  

This meeting is a chance for members to receive a report from the President covering all of last year’s activities, finances, and accounts; students will also have the opportunity to raise questions on any of the detail before the reports are put forward for approval.
